This certificate is designed to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform oral surgery procedures with confidence and competence.
The course is delivered by experienced Oral Surgeons, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons with guest lectures on Oral Medicine and Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Oral Surgery will offer a structured programme combining flexible online learning with hands-on clinical skills days, preparing dental professionals to deliver advanced oral surgical care with confidence and competence.
This comprehensive course comprises 12 modules, delivered through a mixture of engaging lectures, clinical skills days and flexible self-directed online elearning.
The curriculum is currently awaiting accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd). It has been meticulously designed to align with the Level 2 Oral Surgery competencies and the Specialty Training Curriculum in Oral Surgery, ensuring a robust and relevant educational experience.
Complementing the online content are 4 full days of intensive hands-on clinical skills sessions, utilising advanced 3D printed mandibles / maxilla and pig jaws to ensure practical mastery.
